NOW WHAT DO I DO?
Welcome to the family! If you have asked Jesus to forgive your sins and come in to your life and be your Lord and Savior then you are a brand new person. You are not a remodeled or patched up version of the old you, you are actually a new creature.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says;
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
We are here to help you to learn to grow in knowledge and wisdom of the ways of the Lord but a large part of this journey will be you reaching out to God for His instruction.
There are four ways to do this and each is a part of the other.
First is prayer. This is just talking to God, praising and thanking Him and sharing your fears and confidences with Him.
Second is reading His Word, The Bible. We suggest you start in John and also read the book the pastor is teaching in at the time. It is important to pray before you read and ask God to open up His truths to you.
Third is coming to church. It is so important to get plugged in and experience with the church family God speaking to us corporately. Also the church is where relationships are made. We meet Sundays at 10:00 and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.
Fourth is cutting out of your life anything that causes you to stumble in your faith. Many times we find things in our life that interfere with our new growth as a Christian and we should prayerfully consider changes that will most benefit us in our new life.
